So you submitted info to a scam...

Don't worry, we already know. The page that brought you here was created by us. Remember that yearly test we talked about at the beginning of the year? That was it.

If you are seeing this page, you likely entered information in the previous page (like your username and password) and submitted it. You may be required to complete a cybersecurity training course soon. If so, we will contact you with the information needed to complete the course.

Here's some good tips on how to spot phishing or whaling emails in the future:

1. Did you notice who the email came from? The name might have been correct, but the email address DEFINITELY was not.
2. Did you know you can hover over links before clicking them to see where they will take you? The link might have claimed it was taking you to Google or Microsoft, but hovering over it shows a different story. If you don't recognize it, DON'T CLICK IT!
3. Did you feel like something was just...off...with the sign in page? Something like the boxes being too far apart, spelling mistakes, and font changes throughout the page can be a great tip that something might not be right on the page you're on. When in doubt, CLOSE OUT!
4. Did you see the "Terms and Conditions" at the bottom of the page? They actually state that the page is a scam and give a definition of what phishing is!
5. Did you notice the top of the website said "Sign in to my scam"? Check the titles of websites when you visit them. Do they look legitimate? Are they the same as others you've seen from the same source?

Official NDISD policy states that if you suspect an email may be fraudulent, take a screenshot of the email and send it to us, or let us know the subject, sender, and time you received the email. NEVER forward the email to ANYONE. If you know for sure that the email is fraudulent, delete the email and clear your trash. If you aren't sure, feel free to contact us at any time, and we'll be happy to assist you.
