You will read and evaluate the attached self- help pamphlet, next you will complete the worksheet identifying the persuasive techniques that were used in the pamphlet.

Today you will print and cut out all the persuasive technique terms and match them up. Practice learning the definitions for each term. It is very important to know the terms. If you have someone at home to help you practice, play the matching game with them. When you are done you will upload a picture of your matched terms. If you do not have a printer you will have to write the words and the definitions and cut up to make the game pieces.

Persuasive Techniques are used when people or companies are trying to persuade you. Today you will define each vocabulary word and provide one example for each word of the persuasive techniques vocabulary. * SOME of these terms you will find in your figurative language definitions and you should have your examples there too! (Always work smarter not harder!) If you can print these to keep in your notes folder.

Connotation: are words that have emotion and feeling or words that are association with other words
Denotation: are the literal meaning of the word (it is what it is)
Today you will identify each word by how it is used in the sentence. Please submit once completed!
