Today you will be completing an assignment on ratios and equivalent rates. I completed a problem from both sides for you to refer to. You can also look at my notes below.

When you finish, be sure to submit your completed work! Let me know if you have any questions:)

Ratios:
-Compare two things to each other.
-Order matters when you write a ratio.
-Ratios can be simplified, like a fraction.
-Ex: There are 4 boys and 6 girls. What is the ratio of boys to girls? The ratio is 4 to 6. 4 and 6 have the common factor of 2, so if we simplify both by 2 we get 2 to 3.

Equivalent Rates: Write just like ratios, use the "butterfly" like we do when we compare fractions. Cross multiply. If both are equal, the rates are the same. If they are not, the rates are not equivalent.
