Today, we did one more practice finding and marking nouns, verbs, and adjectives in sentences. Look at the instruction board to see how to mark. If you can’t print off the practice pages, just copy them on notebook paper. Take a picture and send to me to grade.

If you can print this off please do. If not, make a chart on paper and sort the words into concrete or abstract nouns. Please send a picture of your completed work. If you can find the homophone that is spelled wrong you get 5 bonus points.

We did marked sentences yesterday. We are practicing again today. Underline and label the verb and nouns in each sentence. Then circle the adjective and draw an arrow to what it describes. I included an answer page.

Abstract nouns are nouns you can’t experience with your senses. They are feelings, ideas, qualities, or concepts. If you can print off the paper, practice identifying concrete nouns and abstract nouns. If you can’t print it off make a chart and sort them. I included an answer page.

You learned all of your lowercase letters and a few uppercase letters in cursive last year. On a piece of notebook paper write the alphabet in lowercase cursive. I want to see what you remember and what we need to work on. You can either scan and send or take a picture and send.

In the "My Journal Stories" section of your journal, answer the following questions: What happened in the story? How did the problem get solved? What can you do to help a new student who comes to your school? Please take a picture of what you write and send it to me.
